Product Description The Shelby is both an Island Crib, which means it can be put in the middle of a room so baby has a 360 degree view and a Classic Crib which means it has no moving parts. It also has a smaller footprint also lends itself to apartment living. Designed inspired by the hallmark of the American Empire period...the sleigh bed. With its roots dating back to the Roman Empire, the sleigh bed has always held a special place in the hearts of America's decorators.

great for short mommies! August 26, 2010 becca I love this crib! spent a long time debating over which cribs would be short enough(i'm 5'1"), sturdy, yet also affordable. when i saw this one, i knew it was the one. arrived within about 4 days, and i assembled it in under an hour. the wood is beautiful (got the cappuccino color) and sturdy, but not heavy. love the smooth lines. 3 positions and comes with everything you need to convert it to toddler bed.
beautiful crib! August 20, 2010 Mary Ann Grady (TERRE HAUTE, IN, US) I purchased this crib for my daughter as a gift for my first grandchild. It arrived quickly and safely and they put it together with no problems. This is a sturdy, beautiful crib that will last my grandson for years to come. We are all happy with the crib and I am thrilled to have given him his first bed!
Very Good Crib August 19, 2010 Ben (Brooklyn, NY) Easy to put together and very big crib for the price; the color and style are beautiful and it seems very sturdy and well made. My only complaint: flaws and scrapes in the wood, but minor and not too noticeable. Please with purchase.
Great crib! August 17, 2010 Brittney Edwards (Pennsylvania) We couldnt be happier with this crib. It was easy to put together and its beautiful and well made.
It IS a shorter crib but my husband and I are both 6' and have no problems.
The only issue we had is one page of the instructions was missing... not the cribs fault. It was simple enough to put together without and recheck once we got the missing page.
Love this Cirib! Excellent Value! August 4, 2010 Geoff & Crystal After reading all of the reviews of this crib,(which were mostly great) the only fear I had was that it would too short as some of the negative reviews had said. I bought it anyways and am very glad I did! I stand 6' and my wife is 5'8 and we both have no problem with the height of the crib. Although it is a little shorter than most standard cribs, it's not really that noticable, and it's so nice and sturdy looking it in no way looks like 'less' of a crib.
The color is a little warmer than what is pictured here, it's kind of a rustic honey-which was a pleasant surprise, we like it even more than the picture. I love that it doesn't have drop-sides, there's less chance of a recall. I love that there are 3 height adjustment levels for the mattress, and think the lowest one will be perfect for our little man when he's ready for us to convert it to a toddler day bed.
It was shipped quickly and arrived well packed and in perfect condition. It was pretty easy to put together, my brother did it in about 30-40 minutes.
The only negative I can think of is that the bolts do show on the outside, but it's really not that noticable and doesn't take away from the charm of the crib.
This crib is comparable in style and quality to higher end cribs. Overall it's a beautiful, very sturdy, well made piece of furniture and I would recommend it to anyone! A great value!!!
